Bill Ziegler Bio

I am and have always been a student of the restaurant industry.  While I was growing up my father ran one of the largest restaurant equipment and supplies distributors in the US. Lucky me, I got to clean the showroom on weekends. It was only natural that after graduating from the University of Minnesota, where I played golf and majored in Political Science, that I would follow my fathers lead.

After working in the equipment and supplies business for a couple of years I settled in at Waymar Industries where I spent 22 years developing the company into the premier supplier of upscale restaurant furniture in the country, maintaining manufacturing plants and administrative offices in both Minneapolis and, under the JH Carr name, in Seattle.

I sold those businesses in October of 2012.  Intrigued by the possibilities of helping restaurants enhance their customer appeal, increase revenues and improve operations through the thoughtful deployment of developing technologies I partnered in starting the Wirth Group.  I am very excited about the changing landscape of technology and how simple devices and applications can leverage a competitive advantage for restaurants and drive big improvements in their customer’s experience.

I am a married, soon to be empty nester.  In my spare time I love to golf, spend time with my sons and share a glass of wine with Sue, the love of my life.

Ira Hackner Bio

I have always been intrigued by software technology, especially ways it can help business become more efficient and profitable.  That intrigue led me, after graduating from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Business Administration degree, to business software applications.

After working in the technology field as a software consultant, I founded Midwest Consulting in 1993, a business software applications provider.  In 18 years, I developed Midwest Consulting to be the leading provider in the country of Microsoft Great Plains HR and Payroll software applications.  I then founded Kids Good Manners, Inc. to develop children’s products to help with their development, aided by technology.

I sold those interests in late 2012.  With my intrigue to help operations through technology, I joined Bill to start the Wirth Group. I am extremely excited to help deliver technological solutions to give businesses innovative and competitive advantages in the restaurant industry.

I love to bike, golf and play broomball and share life with my beautiful wife, Denise and our technically minded 10 year old son, Tyler.
